beautiful day

Slept rather early on friday night but it was still tough tryin’ to get up on a sat morning. Managed to sneak a few peaks at the senior girls and helped na to record their piece. (yummy) hehe. chilled for a bit after salsa and went to have lunch at waterloo.

went out with favs to catch twilight after that; i must say i liked the show quite a bit. Romantic, cool and still has some action. Vampires are hot. period. Took a nice slow stroll down to centre point to grab some christmas cards and gifts. It was really nice to just catch up and chill. Its good to be reminded of the good old days from time to time What a nice day.

I’m kinda reminded of a time when I used to do this like every other day. Even though money was less than, I guess it was overshadowed by a sort of freedom and carefree spirit only found in the young. Wah. I am really getting much older. Which isn’t exactly a bad thing I suppose. The responsibilities are different and there are more things to think about. I’m quite alright with this. The only sad thing is that love is no longer a roller coaster ride but a slow stroll in the park. The grass on the other side is not greener nick. hurr

Was listening to my ipod on shuffle when the Flava CD started playing.. and I realised we didn’t dance last night! what a waste.. Should have gone for some good old R&B. dang. dang. but it was a good night still.

the risk of friendships

I tot of this title when I was bathing just now.

 

CT’s birthday was awesomely funny. and fun. and … nice..

ok random incoherent thoughts follow;

Risk, put in layman term’s, is just uncertainity. And uncertainty is definitely present in friendships.
Come to think of it, putting effort and time into a friendship is just like investing in a stock. The value of the stock , like friendship, is just a figure determined by both sides of the transaction. As the price of the stock increase, so does the strength of a friendship.

In life it is not as simple as looking at valuation models.. where the heart and feelings are involved, the equation becomes much more complicated.

Do friendships last forever?

I guess i’ve matured a bit from when I was in Sec sch/ JC. Friends were like the centre of my life at that point ..

and those people who walked into my life then are still here. but its just different i guess. Friends in which I see on a day to day basis and those of my younger days. I still see people like zhao n rus all the time though.

hmm. but sometimes the scariest part is not knowing what the other party thinks.

argh… the tots are too random and i’m too lazy to do structuring!

i have this urge to go downstairs now and buy an ipod or itouch… but i resist ..

after talkin to a couple of people… i’ve decided on the iphone.. just have to find one now..

and wall-e wasn’t that bad actually.. its just the robot love thing.. not really my cup of tea.. And such a waste. i wasn’t prepared for what was coming. hahaa. BASKET.

ha. red cliff was really nice. don’t you just love a movie where the good guys are grossly outnumbered and they fight with wicked sick strategies/ passion for something on a moral high ground? like 300. like gladiator. like braveheart. (which happens to be my fav war movie of all time) nice… Am so glad I caught this show. good stuff.

It was really really windy at ecp last night. I don’t recall it feeling this cooling in a long while.

Did singfest end so late? I drove past the place at 1130 and we couldn’t hear anything. What a waste. Actually I think singfest would have been awesome. But i’m not of a travis/ melee/ lost prophets/ simple plan guy. not as much jason, PCD. though I think watching Jason M would have given me new passion. oh well. I wasn’t willing to pay 300 at the door.. and my current lifestyle doesn’t give me the flexibility of planning ahead much. =| I think the record should be ze 5h ballet performance i agreed a week in advance.

On a random note,
I think people are more susceptible to depression when alone; and especially alone during festive times. Life is quite a relative game. It kinda sucks when you’re sad and everyone else is happy and having fun. Its not so bad if there is someone as miserable and sharing your pain. Oh well. As they say, misery loves company!
